California Attorney General Rob Bonta called off an expected meeting with Paramount Skydance over a lawsuit seeking to block the company's acquisition of Warner Bros Discovery, according to a statement on August 24. He was expected to push for the sale of television channels and to commit to holding the companies' movie studios separate, the Wall Street Journal reported on August 23.
