Home Bancorp reported fourth-quarter earnings of $1.46 per share, topping the consensus estimate of $1.39 and marking a 21% increase from $1.21 a year earlier. Total revenue grew by 12% year-over-year, driven by higher net interest income as loan yields rose and deposit costs moderated. Net interest margin expanded to 4.25%, up 15 basis points from Q4 2024, reflecting strong repricing on maturing loans and a 5-basis-point reduction in funding costs. Noninterest income climbed 8%, supported by mortgage servicing fees and wealth management revenues, while noninterest expense increased just 3%, leading to an efficiency ratio below 58% for the first time in three years. Investors will note that core deposit balances grew at a 10% annualized rate in the quarter, helping to fund an 8% rise in loan originations and reducing reliance on wholesale funding. Management reiterated its guidance for loan growth of 3%–5% in 2026 and signaled continued discipline on credit quality, with nonperforming assets remaining below 0.9% of total assets and the allowance for loan losses stable at 1.2%.
