Home Depot FY26 Q2 net earnings rise 4.7% to $4.8 billion; net sales climb 5.7% to $47.9 billion

The Home Depot posted fiscal Q2 net earnings of $4.8 billion, or $4.79 per diluted share, up 4.6% year over year.
Net sales rose 5.7% from a year earlier to $47.9 billion, helped by $1.4 billion of incremental sales from GMS.
Margins and operating income improve
Operating income climbed to $6.84 billion, while gross margin widened 0.3 percentage points to 33.7%.
Comparable sales and online sales trends
Comparable sales increased 1.7%, as a 2.8% rise in average ticket offset a 1.0% decline in comparable transactions.
SG&A increased 8.5% to $8.4 billion; online sales rose 11% and represented 16.6% of net sales.
