Home Depot posted second-quarter net sales of $47.86 billion versus analysts' estimate of $47.27 billion, according to data compiled by LSEG.
Q2 adjusted EPS came in at $4.92 versus estimate of $4.73.
Outlook and analyst views
The company maintained its annual total sales growth of 2.5% to 4.5% and adjusted EPS to grow about flat to 4%.

Shares rise after quarterly beat
Shares of home improvement retailer Home Depot HD.N rose as much as 1% at $341.5.
The company beat estimates for second-quarter sales and profit as strong demand from customers for repair and maintenance helped offset sluggish spending on big-ticket projects.
