Honda August global auto production falls 12.6% y/y to 233,388 units
HMC•Honda reported August 2026 global vehicle production of 233,388 units, down 12.6% year over year. North American production rose 8.2% to 147,761 units, while China production fell 71.7% to 14,130.

Honda produced 30,196 vehicles in Japan, down 32.3%, and 203,192 outside Japan, down 8.6%. Production in Asia fell 43.6% to 43,377 units; Japan domestic sales declined 5.7% to 38,851 vehicles, while exports from Japan increased 2.5% to 7,487 units.
