Honeywell, Enigma Sign MOU to Integrate PNT, SATCOM and EW on Phoenix UAS
HONA•Honeywell Aerospace and Enigma Aerospace signed a memorandum of understanding to integrate Honeywell’s positioning, navigation and timing systems and electronic warfare onto Enigma’s Phoenix autonomous UAS. Initial steps include evaluating Honeywell’s VersaWave SATCOM, Ground Control Station and ONEBOX flight controller, targeting field deployment for U.S. and allied defense missions.
1. Memorandum of Understanding Details
Honeywell Aerospace and Enigma Aerospace have entered a memorandum of understanding to explore integrating Honeywell’s advanced positioning, navigation and timing systems, electronic warfare capabilities and communications onto Enigma’s Phoenix autonomous logistics UAS designed for contested environments.
2. Initial System Evaluations
As a first phase, the partners will evaluate Honeywell’s VersaWave SATCOM unit, Ground Control Station and ONEBOX flight controller on the Phoenix platform, with the option to incorporate additional small form-factor mission systems and payloads.
3. Strategic Implications and Next Steps
The collaboration aims to field select integrated capabilities for U.S. and allied defense customers in the coming months, with joint development activities focused on resilient PNT, defensive cyber, secure command and control, and scalable autonomous logistics solutions.
