Hongli Group names Michael W. Zhang board chairman, succeeding Jie Liu
HLP•Hongli Group named Michael W. Zhang board chairman effective Sept. 29, 2026, replacing Jie Liu, who resigned from the role. Chenglong Yang also stepped down as a director and left all board committees.
1. Board changes
Zhang became chairman effective Sept. 29, 2026, following Liu’s resignation from the chair role. Zhang has been managing partner of H Alpha Management since 2015 and has experience in private equity, capital allocation and corporate governance. Yang also stepped down as a director and exited all board committees, effective Sept. 29.
