Houthis say they targeted Saudi oil sites; attacks reported in Aden
USO•The Houthis said they targeted Saudi oil facilities and airports, while the Saudi-led coalition said it downed two missiles. Yemen’s internationally recognised government said three missiles were fired at coast guard sites in Aden; it was unclear whether the reported attacks in Saudi Arabia hit their targets.
1. Reported Saudi targets
Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the group targeted an Aramco facility in Yanbu, the Rabigh refinery, crude oil pumping stations and the East-West Pipeline, along with airports and an airbase. The Saudi-led coalition said it destroyed two ballistic missiles fired toward Yanbu and Taif.
2. Debris reported
Saudi Civil Defense said debris from intercepted missiles fell in the Mecca and Medina regions, including areas in Jeddah, Taif and Rabigh. It was unclear whether the debris was linked to the reported targeting of the Rabigh refinery. The Houthis denied attacking Mecca and Medina.
3. Missiles in Aden
Yemen’s internationally recognised government said two missiles struck a coast guard headquarters in Aden and a third hit a coast guard building in the Tawahi district. Saree said the group targeted Saudi-backed military gatherings at a camp and naval base in Aden.
