Howmet Aerospace reported that its adjusted operating margin expanded to 20.5% in the fourth quarter of 2025, up from 18.2% a year earlier, despite raw material and logistics costs rising by approximately 8%. The company attributes the improvement to pricing actions that delivered a 5% increase in average selling prices across its jet engine components and aerospace fastening systems businesses. Operational efficiencies, including streamlined production at its Lafayette, Indiana, forging facility and a 12% reduction in scrap rates at its Monceau-le-Neuf plant in France, also contributed to the margin gain.
