The antitrust waiting period for Western Union’s acquisition of International Money Express expired November 2, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Closing remains subject to reinstatement of suspended California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation approval and satisfaction or waiver of other closing conditions.
2. Merger agreement
Under the August 10, 2025, merger agreement, International Money Express will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Western Union.
