Humacyte names nephrologists Kossmann, Roy-Chaudhury as dialysis access advisors
HUMA•HUMA•HUMA•HUMA•Humacyte named nephrologists Robert J. Kossmann and Prabir Roy-Chaudhury as advisors to support planned commercialization of its ATEV for hemodialysis access.
Kossmann previously held senior medical leadership roles at Fresenius Medical Care from 2014-2026, including executive vice president and chief medical officer for North America.
Roy-Chaudhury is the Drs. Ronald and Katherine Falk Eminent Professor at UNC, co-directs the UNC Kidney Center, and served as American Society of Nephrology president for 2025.
The advisors will focus on reimbursement, market access, health economics, and medical education tied to the dialysis access opportunity.
The move follows positive V012 Phase 3 results in women and plans to file a supplemental Biologic License Application.
