1. Exclusive Consumer Bank Designation

Huntington Bank has been designated the Official Consumer Bank of the University of Michigan in an exclusive arrangement covering more than 100,000 students, faculty and staff across Ann Arbor and Michigan Medicine. This partnership deepens the bank’s presence in its home state and positions it as the primary banking provider for the university community.

2. Account and Service Benefits

Under the agreement, eligible checking accounts will receive waived monthly maintenance fees and customers can link their MCard identification card to a co-branded Huntington debit card for seamless campus and banking transactions. The deal also grants mortgage closing cost discounts and access to Huntington’s full suite of consumer and business products.

3. Campus Infrastructure Expansion

The partnership includes the installation of six new Huntington ATMs on campus, with units placed at key locations such as the D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion hospital. These additions aim to improve convenience for the university community and reinforce Huntington’s local banking footprint.

4. Educational and Career Initiatives

Huntington committed $250,000 to University of Michigan scholarships and student organization sponsorships, while launching expanded financial literacy workshops across campus and in surrounding communities. The bank will also offer internship opportunities through its award-winning program and its RISE initiative to introduce students to careers in financial services.
