Huntington wins $418M Navy contract for shipboard elevator maintenance
HII•Huntington Ingalls Industries secured a $418 million, five-year contract from Naval Sea Systems Command to engineer, maintain and repair shipboard elevators and cargo-handling systems on U.S. Navy aircraft carriers and amphibious ships globally. The firm will also train sailors and rapid-response fly-away teams to support maintenance operations worldwide.

Huntington Ingalls Industries’ Mission Technologies division secured a $418 million contract awarded by Naval Sea Systems Command to service shipboard elevators and cargo-handling equipment on U.S. Navy aircraft carriers and amphibious ships.
2. Operational Scope
Under the five-year agreement, the division will provide engineering, maintenance and technical repair support for elevator systems and related equipment across the entire U.S. naval fleet.
3. Global Coverage and Duration
Work will be performed domestically, outside the continental U.S. and at all forward-deployed naval locations over the contract’s five-year term.
4. Training and Rapid Response
The firm will train sailors and deploy rapid-response fly-away teams to conduct complex maintenance and repair operations worldwide, enhancing overall fleet readiness.
