HUTCHMED says SAFFRON Phase III trial of savolitinib-osimertinib combo beats chemo in EGFR-mutant NSCLC after osimertinib progression

HUTCHMED says it flagged new data for savolitinib with osimertinib at ESMO Congress 2026 in Madrid on Oct. 23-27.

Results will be presented in future oral sessions from two positive Phase III studies, including a Presidential Symposium slot.

SAFFRON showed the chemo-free regimen improved patient outcomes versus platinum-based chemotherapy in EGFR-mutated NSCLC with MET-driven resistance.

SANOVO showed better outcomes versus osimertinib alone in previously untreated EGFR-mutated advanced NSCLC with MET overexpression.

Additional posters will update data across fruquintinib and surufatinib programs, extending readouts in colorectal, renal, pancreatic, and neuroendocrine cancers.
