HUTCHMED's Orpathys-Tagrisso combination cuts progression or death risk 44% in Phase III lung cancer trial
HCM•HUTCHMED said its Phase III SANOVO trial found Orpathys plus Tagrisso reduced the risk of progression or death by 44% in untreated EGFR-mutated, MET-overexpressing lung cancer. Median progression-free survival was 24.9 months with the combination versus 13.8 months with Tagrisso alone.

HUTCHMED said its Phase III SANOVO trial found Orpathys combined with Tagrisso reduced the risk of progression or death by 44% versus Tagrisso alone in untreated EGFR-mutated, MET-overexpressing lung cancer. Median progression-free survival was 24.9 months with the combination and 13.8 months with Tagrisso alone; among patients with high MET overexpression, the risk reduction was 55%. Median overall survival was 44.5 months versus 34.9 months, and HUTCHMED said the results support plans to submit a supplemental new drug application in China for first-line use.
