Hycroft Drills 2,890 g/t Silver and 33.70 g/t Gold in Vortex Hole
Hole H25D-6083 at Vortex yielded 0.9m at 2,890 g/t Ag and 33.70 g/t Au (67.26 g/t AuEq) within 53.4m averaging 304.14 g/t Ag and 1.33 g/t Au (4.86 g/t AuEq). Hycroft holds $189 million cash, no debt, and is adding two rigs to expand Vortex and Brimstone drilling.
1. Drill Results at Vortex
Hole H25D-6083 intersected 53.4m averaging 304.14 g/t silver and 1.33 g/t gold, including a 7m interval at 1,241.97 g/t silver with 6.59 g/t gold and a high-grade 0.9m intercept of 2,890 g/t silver and 33.70 g/t gold.
2. Exploration Expansion
Hycroft plans follow-up drilling to target deeper and along-strike extensions of the Vortex and Brimstone systems, deploying two additional core rigs in coming months to expand its 2025-2026 exploration drill program.
3. Financial Position
The company reported $189 million in unrestricted cash at March 31, 2026, with no debt. During Q1 it recorded $33.8 million in pre-tax expenses and used $19.4 million cash for compensation actions.
4. Development Strategy
Following two new high-grade system discoveries in 2023, Hycroft is advancing technical studies to transition the mine from oxide heap leach to milling of sulfide mineralization as part of its long-term development plan.
