Hyperscale Data Gains 125 MW Power Expansion and $1.2 B AI Compute Deal
GPUS•Hyperscale Data’s BNI Montana subsidiary received a utility determination for up to 125 MW of additional power at its Montana site, which currently operates 10 MW. Separately, Alliance Cloud Services signed a 20 MW AI compute agreement at its Michigan campus valued at $1.2 billion.
1. Utility Determination for Montana Expansion
BNI Montana, Hyperscale Data’s indirect wholly owned subsidiary, received a will serve letter permitting up to 125 MW of additional power at one Montana facility, which now runs 10 MW of Bitcoin mining. The expansion hinges on engineering studies, transmission and distribution upgrades, interconnection requirements, regulatory approvals, construction milestones and commercial agreements, with a key transmission line slated for 2031 completion.
2. AI Compute Agreement at Michigan Campus
Alliance Cloud Services signed its first master services agreement for 20 MW of AI compute capacity at the Michigan data center campus, targeting Q4 2026 operations. The 10-year contract is valued at $1.2 billion and offers two five-year extension options plus rights to add 32 MW of capacity, potentially lifting total value above $3 billion.
3. Strategic Implications and Next Steps
These developments advance Hyperscale Data’s transition from Bitcoin mining to AI and high-performance computing, boosting revenue diversification and geographic footprint. The company plans further load studies at a second Montana site and is procuring electrical and infrastructure equipment for its Michigan buildout, all subject to securing funding and regulatory approvals.
