Hyperscale Data plans up to 100 OPR-R2 robot installs at Michigan AI facility for physical AI data program

The Michigan expansion is expected to support more than 500 jobs over about the next three years as operations scale.

The program targets a scaled pipeline for physical-world training data to improve multimodal AI models, including robotics foundation models.

Data from the initiative is planned to be processed, stored and maintained in the U.S., with no intent to move it offshore.

Hyperscale Data plans to deploy up to 100 Omnipresent Robotics OPR-R2 robots at its Michigan AI data center from a 143-unit order.

A roughly 100,000-square-foot dedicated robotics buildout is slated to support robot operations, real-world task execution and data collection and processing.
