HYMTFHYMTF

Hyundai Motor Co aims to sell 4.16 million vehicles in 2026 versus 4.14 million in 2025, above last year’s 4.17 million target. Hyundai AutoEver and HERE Technologies expanded their navigation partnership to shorten map update cycles over fivefold for more than one million North American and Australian vehicles.

1. Partnership Expansion and Scope

HERE Technologies and Hyundai AutoEver have deepened their online navigation collaboration, extending real-time map services to more than one million Hyundai, Kia and Genesis vehicles equipped with ccNC and ccIC27 infotainment systems across North America and Australia. This builds on HERE’s eight-year streak as the top global location platform, delivering up-to-date road networks, speed limits and points of interest, and leveraging data from over 44 million connected vehicles and community sources.

2. Fivefold Acceleration in Map Updates

By integrating HERE’s automotive-grade unified mapping architecture, Hyundai AutoEver has compressed its map update cycle by over 5×, enabling delivery of newly built roads and location changes within days rather than weeks. The agile update framework supports more accurate turn-by-turn guidance and enhances safety by ensuring drivers access the freshest routing information.

3. Path to Software-Defined, AI-Driven Cockpits

Building on current navigation capabilities, the partners plan to introduce streaming navigation with lane-level guidance, ADAS integration, live map rendering and Navigation on Autopilot readiness. Utilizing HERE’s flexible APIs and AI-powered map-making tools, Hyundai Motor Group aims to evolve in-car experiences into personalized, voice-enabled journeys that pave the way for future automated driving features.
