Hyundai Translead has appointed Hendrickson Fleet Solutions as its exclusive commercial vehicle dealer for New York and New Jersey, marking the first expansion of its dealer network for the XCIENT Fuel Cell Class 8 truck in the U.S. The partnership provides fleets in the region with access to the world’s first mass-produced hydrogen-powered heavy-duty truck through three full-service locations offering sales, parts, warranty, service and hydrogen infrastructure support. Chance Parker, Vice President of EV Strategy at Hendrickson Fleet Solutions, highlighted the combined expertise in EV integration and infrastructure, positioning fleets in the NYC metro area for accelerated decarbonization. Hyundai Translead CEO Sean Kenney emphasized that Hendrickson’s regional presence and customer support capabilities will be critical as the company seeks to scale hydrogen truck adoption across North America, potentially opening new revenue streams from recurring service and parts contracts as fleets transition to zero-emission transport.
