1. Omnilogy Debuts i-Rays Observability for IBM i Environments

On January 20, 2026, Warsaw-based Omnilogy unveiled i-Rays, the industry’s first full-stack observability platform purpose-built for IBM i systems. Leveraging AI-driven analytics and contextual insights, i-Rays enables CIOs and IBM i administrators to detect performance anomalies up to 72 hours before they escalate into revenue-impacting outages. In beta trials across five global banking and manufacturing firms, early deployments reduced emergency incident response times by 45% and cut unplanned downtime by 60%. Unlike legacy monitoring tools that demand scarce midrange expertise or costly hardware upgrades, i-Rays offers preconfigured dashboards, automatic anomaly detection, and step-by-step remediation guidance. As a certified Dynatrace partner, Omnilogy integrates watsonx-powered AI models to correlate metrics from IBM i workloads, database I/O and network traffic, delivering actionable alerts with root-cause precision within three minutes of anomaly detection. General Manager Marek Walczak highlighted that i-Rays will be offered under both subscription and perpetual-license models, with annual support and update packages priced starting at $25,000 for mid-market installations.
