The Swiss National Supercomputing Centre in Lugano will host Switzerland’s first IBM Quantum System Two, which will be operated by IBM.
The System Two is slated to use IBM’s Quantum Nighthawk processor, with deployment targeted by the end of 2026.
IBM and Lockheed Martin have set up a Swiss quantum innovation hub at ETH Zurich under an offset agreement with armasuisse.
The hub is intended to widen quantum access for Swiss academia, startups and industry, with the aim of accelerating research, use cases and workforce training.
