OpenAI frontier models including GPT-5.6, Codex, and ChatGPT Work are to be embedded into IBM Consulting Advantage, its delivery platform.
Planned enterprise use cases
The collaboration targets legacy workflow transformation, application modernization, and cybersecurity resilience tied to OpenAI Daybreak with IBM Autonomous Security.
Consulting and go-to-market plans
IBM said it will launch a dedicated OpenAI Practice with thousands of certified consultants, supported by forward-deployed teams trained through OpenAI’s partner network.
IBM will also join OpenAI’s Elite partner tier as the companies pursue joint go-to-market industry solutions.
