IBM launched AI-driven features in its Scuderia Ferrari fan app using watsonx, including an AI Companion, Game Center with quizzes, leaderboards, and an enhanced Race Center delivering real-time insights. Since its May 2025 relaunch, downloads rose 35%, average monthly active users increased 36%, while race-day user engagement climbed 56%.

1. New AI-Powered App Features

IBM introduced an AI Companion built on watsonx to guide fans through race-week insights, Scuderia Ferrari history and technical details via conversation-style prompts. A unified Game Center now hosts race predictors, quizzes, global leaderboards and digital badges, while an enhanced Race Center delivers detailed session timelines and real-time driver data.

2. Surge in User Engagement

Since the May 2025 relaunch, the Scuderia Ferrari app has recorded a 35% increase in cumulative downloads, a 36% rise in average monthly active users and a 56% boost in average race active users. Engagement metrics also jumped, with views up 62% and engaged sessions lifting by 35%.

3. Partnership and Ongoing Rollouts

As Official Fan Engagement and Data Analytics Partner for Scuderia Ferrari HP, IBM plans to roll out further watsonx-powered capabilities throughout the 2026 Formula 1 season. These ongoing enhancements aim to deepen Tifosi connections, drive repeat engagement and showcase IBM’s AI and data analytics expertise.
