IBM signed a multi-year $240 million agreement with Together AI to scale open-source AI inference on IBM Cloud.
The deal calls for deploying a large NVIDIA HGX B300 inference cluster on IBM Cloud, with expected availability in Q1 2027.
Together AI plans to use the cluster to improve inference performance, lower token costs, and expand its enterprise offering.
The deployment is positioned as IBM Cloud’s first dedicated large-scale inference cluster using HGX B300 systems with NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet.
