IDYA•IDEAYA reported a 17.4-month median survival with IDE849 in a second-line small cell lung cancer trial. Updated Phase 1 results are scheduled for presentation by partner Hengrui at ESMO on October 26, 2026.
1. Trial update
IDEAYA Biosciences announced updated Phase 1 results for IDE849, reporting tumor responses and preliminary survival outcomes in relapsed lung and neuroendocrine cancers. Severe treatment-related side effects were mainly blood-related; treatment discontinuations were uncommon, and one treatment-related death was reported.
2. Planned studies
Partner Hengrui will present the results at ESMO on October 26, 2026, after longer follow-up than previously reported. Two randomized global Phase 3 trials are planned in previously treated extensive-stage small cell lung cancer and neuroendocrine carcinomas; a separate global Phase 1/2 update is targeted for late 2026 or early 2027.
