IHG signs Kimpton hotel development in Rome with Castello SGR, opening set for 2029
IHG•IHG signed a deal with Castello SGR’s Rome Hotel Development Fund to convert a Via Veneto building into a 114-room Kimpton hotel, targeting a 2029 opening.
1. Rome hotel planned
The project will convert an existing building on Via Veneto into a 114-room luxury lifestyle hotel with a rooftop bar, restaurant, wellness facilities and event space. Plans also include restoring an on-site theater as a multifunction arts and events venue. IHG said it operated 33 hotels in Italy and had 21 more in its pipeline as of June 30, 2026.
