Illinois American Water appointed John Killips as Senior Director of Engineering effective May 4, 2026. He will be based in the Belleville office and report directly to President Rebecca Losli, bringing over 30 years of experience to strengthen the leadership team.
2. Infrastructure Investment Focus
In 2025 the utility invested more than $280 million on infrastructure upgrades, including new pipes, pumps, hydrants, valves, lift stations, water treatment facilities, storage tanks and water quality systems. Killips will oversee strategic allocation of capital to ensure efficient repairs and replacements across Illinois American Water’s systems.
