IMAXIMAX

IMAX is co-producing Frontier with Nocturnal, Atlas Entertainment and Believe, filmed at New Mexico’s T4 Ranch using its proprietary image and sound systems. With principal photography complete and the film in post-production, IMAX will release it across 1,865 systems in 91 countries to bolster its premium content pipeline.

1. Partnership and Production

IMAX has partnered with Nocturnal Entertainment, Atlas Entertainment and Believe Entertainment Group to produce Frontier, a feature documentary directed by Anouk Masson Krantz. Academy Award–winning producer Charles Roven and Emmy–winning producers at Believe are leading the collaboration, with executive producers from Nocturnal and LA Times Studios supporting the project.

2. Filming and Technology

Frontier was filmed on location at the T4 Ranch in eastern New Mexico, one of the largest privately owned ranches in the U.S., and captures modern cowboy life using IMAX’s proprietary image and sound systems. The production leveraged IMAX cameras and audio capture to deliver immersive, ground-level footage of ranching operations, weather challenges and the landscape’s scale.

3. Distribution and Strategic Impact

With principal photography wrapped and post-production underway, IMAX plans to roll out Frontier across its global network of 1,865 systems in 91 countries. This release strengthens IMAX’s lineup of exclusive premium content, expands its footprint in documentary filmmaking and supports revenue growth through unique theatrical experiences.
