1. Higher income and revenue
For the six months ended June 30, 2026, Imperial Petroleum reported net income of USD 62.78 million, compared with USD 24.05 million a year earlier. Revenue increased to USD 148.79 million from USD 68.44 million, with average fleet size rising by 7.4 vessels.
2. Rates and operating costs
Improving tanker rates from early 2026 supported results, while drybulk rates strengthened mainly in the second quarter. Spot days increased 40.3%, lifting voyage expenses, and higher oil prices pushed up bunker costs. Drydocking costs rose to USD 8.96 million from USD 1.69 million, with seven vessels drydocked during the period.
