Shares fall after stake-sale report

Shares of India's Oracle Financial Services Software ORCL.NS fell 5.17% to 10,307 rupees after a media report said parent Oracle Corp ORCL.N may be exploring a sale of a stake in the Indian software company.

CNBC-TV18 reported, citing sources, that Oracle Corp has reached out to investors to gauge interest. The report added that the size of the stake sale is likely to be decided based on investor appetite.

Oracle's holding and company response

Oracle Financial Services and Oracle Corp did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for comment.

Oracle Corp held a 72.41% stake in Oracle Financial Services Software as of June 30, according to exchange data.
