Infineon opens Thailand backend manufacturing hub in Bangkok for phased expansion
Infineon opened a backend manufacturing hub in Bangkok, designed to expand in five modules. The site employs about 350 people and targets roughly 1,000 as Module A ramps up.
1. Phased capacity expansion
The hub adds capacity and diversifies Infineon’s global production network. Designed for expansion to five modules, the Bangkok site is positioned to become one of the company’s largest backend sites over time.
2. Manufacturing and operations
The facility includes automated assembly, testing, cleanroom capabilities and wafer testing. It runs on 100% green electricity and uses water recycling, rainwater collection and solar generation.
