Infleqtion to Share in $2B Quantum Grants, Secures $100M CHIPS Funding
The U.S. Commerce Department will allocate $2 billion in quantum-computing grants across nine companies, with Infleqtion named among the major recipients. Infleqtion also signed a Letter of Intent for $100 million in proposed CHIPS funding to accelerate development of neutral-atom quantum systems.
1. Federal Quantum Grants Program
The U.S. Commerce Department will distribute $2 billion to nine leading quantum-computing firms, marking a shift toward treating quantum technology as critical infrastructure. The program includes equity stakes in participating companies to secure domestic leadership against global competitors.
2. Infleqtion Among Major Recipients
Infleqtion is slated to receive a substantial share of the grants, joining IBM, GlobalFoundries, D-Wave and Rigetti in the government-backed funding initiative. The equity model could provide Infleqtion with both capital and strategic validation for its neutral-atom quantum platform.
3. Proposed $100M CHIPS Funding LOI
Infleqtion signed a Letter of Intent for $100 million from the CHIPS Research and Development Office to accelerate its neutral-atom quantum platform. The funding aims to support hardware scaling and error-correction advancements over the next several years.
