Infleqtion wins GBP 9 million UK grant to develop deployable quantum RF direction-finding system
INFQ•Infleqtion won a GBP 9 million Innovate UK grant to develop a deployable quantum radio-frequency direction-finding system. The second phase will advance a tested prototype toward a rugged product, with Leonardo collaborating on the program.
1. Developing quantum sensing
The program will develop Infleqtion’s Quantum Spectrum-DF product, which uses Rydberg-atom sensing to detect signals optically and reduce reliance on large antenna arrays. The second phase will focus on performance, reliability, usability and operational validation as development moves from a tested prototype to a rugged product.
2. Defense and civilian uses
Leonardo will collaborate on the program, which targets smaller size, weight and power footprints for defense platforms, as well as dual-use civilian applications.
