Infosys, Microsoft Deploy AI-Driven Data Platform at CSX, Cut 50,000 Reports

1. Project Overview
Infosys, in partnership with Microsoft, completed a data modernization programme for CSX Corporation using Infosys Topaz™, Microsoft Fabric and Purview to unify its fragmented data environment into a single cloud-native platform.
2. Technological Deployment
The initiative replaced legacy systems with a governed data environment featuring automated metadata governance across 28 domains, AI accelerators for self-serve analytics and integrated Azure monitoring.
3. Measurable Outcomes
As a result, over 170 data products were developed, 50,000 legacy reports were reduced to 1,200 actionable insights, and CSX achieved significant infrastructure cost savings while laying the groundwork for predictive analytics, logistics optimization and enterprise-wide operational intelligence.
