Ingredion publishes Q3 2026 earnings call transcript
INGR•Ingredion lowered its 2026 adjusted earnings guidance to $9.25-$9.70 per share and expects adjusted operating income to decline by a mid-teens percentage. Third-quarter adjusted operating income fell 19% to $206 million.
1. Outlook and third-quarter results
Ingredion cut its 2026 outlook during its November 5 third-quarter earnings call. Full-year adjusted earnings guidance fell to $9.25-$9.70 per share, and adjusted operating income is expected to decline by a mid-teens percentage. Third-quarter adjusted operating income dropped 19% to $206 million, primarily reflecting higher manufacturing costs, weaker US/Canada volumes and tapioca inflation.
2. Operations and acquisition
Argo production stabilized, but earnings recovery lagged as maintenance spending exceeded expectations; softer sweetener demand added pressure. The Tate & Lyle acquisition remains on track to close in the second half of 2027, with regulatory reviews underway.
