Veeco Instruments announced that Innolume ordered a GEN2000 molecular beam epitaxy system to expand GaAs-based quantum dot laser production.
Demand tied to optical connectivity in AI and cloud infrastructure
Veeco said the order targets rising demand for optical connectivity in hyperscale AI infrastructure, cloud data centers, optical transceivers, and silicon photonics.
Innolume also adopted Veeco’s Spector ion beam deposition system to expand in-house laser facet coating capacity.
