Innoviz Lands Framework Deal to Deliver Hundreds of LiDAR Units, Scaling to Thousands
Innoviz signed a framework agreement to supply Kela Technologies with up to several hundred InnovizTwo LiDAR sensors, potentially scaling to thousands in coming years. The sensors will integrate into Kela’s unified situational operations platform on armored vehicles and border security systems, boosting 3D perception, target discrimination and degraded-environment visibility.
1. Framework Agreement with Kela
Innoviz has entered into a framework agreement to supply Kela Technologies with up to several hundred InnovizTwo LiDAR sensors, with an option to scale deliveries to thousands of units over the next few years.
2. Integration into Situational Operations Platform
The InnovizTwo sensors will integrate alongside radar, electro-optical, thermal and RF systems on Kela's modular situational operations platform deployed across armored vehicles, border security and perimeter-defense missions.
3. Enhanced Operational Capabilities
LiDAR’s high-resolution 3D perception will enable improved target discrimination, maintain visibility in darkness, dust, smoke, fog and glare, and accelerate detection-to-engagement cycles by fusing multiple sensor data streams into a single operational picture.
4. Strategic Growth and Revenue Potential
Expanding into defense and homeland-security applications diversifies Innoviz's automotive-grade LiDAR business and could establish a multi-year revenue stream as Kela scales sensor deployments in government and critical-infrastructure programs.
