Instacart partnered with Dollar General to offer same-day delivery of Dollar General essentials via the Instacart app and website.
The pilot is set to start in the coming weeks at about 7,000 Dollar General and pOpshelf stores across six states.
Planned expansion is to about 20,000 stores across 48 states this fall.
The service targets delivery as fast as one hour, broadening Instacart’s marketplace reach for value-focused shoppers.
