IART•Integra LifeSciences named Topaz Kirlew, DBA, MBA, as corporate vice president and chief regulatory officer to oversee global regulatory strategy, compliance, submissions and transformation initiatives. Kirlew, interim regulatory leader since early 2026, brings over 35 years of healthcare and medical technology regulatory, quality and clinical operations expertise.
1. Appointment and Responsibilities
Integra LifeSciences has elevated Topaz Kirlew to corporate vice president and chief regulatory officer, tasking her with leading the global regulatory affairs organization. In this capacity she will direct regulatory strategy, ensure compliance with international standards, manage active submissions and drive transformation initiatives across the company.
2. Interim Leadership Period
Kirlew served as interim regulatory leader over the past several months, during which she oversaw the completion of key submissions and spearheaded risk mitigation across product lines. Her interim tenure provided continuity in regulatory operations during an important phase of organizational growth.
3. Extensive Industry and Academic Background
Since joining Integra in 2021, Kirlew has advanced regulatory capabilities and supported clinical and quality functions, drawing on more than 35 years of industry experience at Danaher, Apyx Medical, Bio-Tissue and the University of Miami’s Diabetes Research Institute. She holds a bachelor’s in clinical laboratory science, a master’s and a doctorate in business administration.
