- The project targets higher output of Intel Xeon 6 and next-generation Intel Xeon processors built on the Intel 3 node.
- The expansion includes fab upgrades and installation of leading-edge equipment, using existing cleanroom capacity.
- Work began earlier this year, supporting construction and equipment-install activity, with additional full-time high-tech roles.
- Intel has invested more than EUR 30 billion in Ireland since 1989; the Leixlip site employs 4,900 people.
