Intel rises after company reportedly remains involved in Musk's Terafab
INTC•Intel shares rose 0.84% premarket after CEO Lip-Bu Tan reportedly said the company will continue working on Elon Musk's Terafab chipmaking venture.
1. Intel's Terafab role
Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan said the company will continue working on Musk's Terafab chipmaking venture. Intel shares rose 0.84% to $113.45 premarket, after losing 6.4% over the previous four sessions.
2. Talks with TSMC
Musk said Saturday that TSMC and Terafab had held preliminary discussions about potential cooperation, and that something could come of them. On Wednesday, he said TSMC will not run the Terafab AI chip complex, which is planned to produce chips for Tesla and SpaceX.
