Intel to Boost CPU Prices 10–15% and Power New AI Security Hub
Intel plans to raise CPU prices by 10–15% over coming months as AI server demand drives lead times from two weeks to 8–12 weeks, narrowing supply constraints. The company also partners with IBM and CrowdStrike to embed its processors in a new autonomous AI security hub, boosting AI platform adoption.
1. Planned CPU Price Adjustments
Intel is set to increase CPU list prices by 10%–15% in the coming months as AI server demand outpaces supply, pushing processor lead times from roughly two weeks to eight–twelve weeks. Management expects these adjustments to enhance revenue per unit and alleviate supply shortages.
2. Autonomous AI Security Hub Partnership
Intel is collaborating with IBM and CrowdStrike to power an autonomous AI security hub that merges CrowdStrike’s Charlotte AI with IBM’s ATOM platform on Intel-powered AI PCs. The initiative aims to strengthen Intel’s role in enterprise security solutions and drive processor adoption in AI workloads.
