Intel Unveils Rackscale AI Systems and Xeon 6+ Processors at Computex 2026
INTC•Intel introduced rackscale AI infrastructure combining Xeon processors with SambaNova SN-50 RDUs to support large-scale inference and agentic AI workloads at Computex 2026. It launched Xeon 6+ processors on 18A process, delivering 36,864 cores per liquid-cooled rack at ~100 kW power.
1. AI Infrastructure Launch
At Computex 2026 in Taipei, Intel introduced rackscale AI infrastructure combining its Xeon processors with SambaNova SN-50 Reconfigurable Dataflow Units. The platform targets inference and agentic AI workloads at scale, aiming to address enterprise demand for high-performance data center computing.
2. Partnerships for Deployment
Intel partnered with SambaNova for RDUs and Foxconn for system integration and cost-optimized CPU configurations, planning production-ready rack systems that integrate both companies’ technologies. Foxconn’s configuration emphasizes cost-efficient inference and large-scale data processing applications for cloud and enterprise customers.
3. Xeon 6+ Processor Details
The new Xeon 6+ processor family, built on Intel’s 18A process, is now commercially available and designed for high-density, scale-out environments. A single liquid-cooled rack can house 36,864 cores within 32U while operating at approximately 100 kW of power.
