Investar posted net income available to common shareholders of $8.9 million, or $0.61 per diluted share, in Q2 2026.
Earnings fell 22.2% from Q1 2026, while net interest margin widened 0.08 percentage points to 3.67%.
Return on average assets slipped to 0.98% from 1.25%, while the overall cost of funds eased to 2.31% from 2.40%.
Loans, conversion and capital actions
Total loans edged down 0.3% to $3.06 billion, while the business lending portfolio rose 3.8% to $1.21 billion.
The company completed the Wichita Falls Bancshares operational conversion in May. It also repurchased 27,235 shares at an average $27.68 and raised its dividend 9% to $0.12.
