IonQ completed its acquisition of SkyWater Technology, creating a vertically integrated quantum platform with U.S.-based semiconductor foundry capacity.
SkyWater shareholders received USD 15 cash and 0.49 IonQ common shares per SkyWater share at closing.
SkyWater will operate as a subsidiary under its existing name, continuing to serve foundry customers.
IonQ expects the deal to accelerate its fault-tolerant quantum computing roadmap and support secure, domestic chip design, fabrication, and packaging.
The combined company plans a second-quarter earnings call on Aug. 5, 2026, followed by an investor day on Sept. 8, 2026.
