July 24 (Reuters) - Iran's Fars news agency, citing an unnamed informed source, said on Friday that a U.S. missile strike on an LPG tanker in the Gulf of Oman killed two crew members and damaged its engine room, disabling the vessel. Fars said the United States believed the tanker was carrying Iranian gas.
The U.S. military did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
