July 21 (Reuters) - Two oil tankers caught fire after explosions while attempting to transit the southern route of the Strait of Hormuz, Iran's Revolutionary Guards said on Tuesday in a statement, adding the strait would remain closed as long as the U.S. actions in the region continued.
Guards say U.S. systems were targeted in Bahrain
In a separate statement, the Guards said they had targeted U.S. military systems in Bahrain, including a radar and air defence system in Muharraq. They also said a Patriot air defence system in Riffa was hit in a simultaneous missile and drone attack.
