IREN Wins $3.4B NVIDIA AI Cloud Deal and Acquires 490MW Nostrum Assets
IREN signed a five-year $3.4bn AI infrastructure cloud contract with NVIDIA to deploy 60MW of air-cooled Blackwell GPU systems at its Childress, Texas data center. It also agreed to acquire Nostrum Group, adding 490MW of secured grid-connected power in Spain and boosting a 5GW global AI pipeline.
1. NVIDIA AI Cloud Contract
IREN secured a five-year, $3.4 billion agreement to provide managed GPU cloud services to NVIDIA using air-cooled Blackwell platform systems. The deal covers orchestration and cluster management in partnership with Mirantis and will deploy approximately 60 MW of capacity at IREN’s Childress, Texas campus.
2. European Expansion via Nostrum Acquisition
IREN entered into an agreement to acquire Nostrum Group, a next-generation data center developer in Spain, adding about 490 MW of secured grid-connected power capacity. This acquisition establishes IREN’s strategic presence in Europe and brings a local team skilled in development, engineering, construction and operations.
3. Global AI Infrastructure Pipeline
These strategic moves underpin IREN’s 5 GW global AI infrastructure pipeline across North America, Europe and APAC. The vertically integrated model combines land, renewable-rich power and large-scale data centers to meet growing enterprise AI training and inference demand.
