ISG report says European automakers expand AI from pilots into operations
XLY•European automotive and mobility groups are moving AI from pilot projects into operations as scrutiny of technology spending increases, an ISG report says. The report evaluates 60 providers across five service areas.
1. AI moves into operations
European automotive and mobility groups are shifting AI from pilots into operations under tighter scrutiny of technology spending. Software-defined vehicles are driving faster engineering release cycles supported by automated testing, virtual validation, model-based engineering and digital twins.
2. Factory applications expand
AI use is also spreading into manufacturing, including production planning analytics, predictive maintenance, predictive quality management and energy optimization as factories modernize for flexibility. The report evaluates 60 providers across five service areas, reflecting demand for vendors that connect advisory work with engineering execution.
